I’ve become obsessed with the OpenAI ChatGPT. Have you tried it yet? It’s very easy to use — you just ask a question or provide a prompt — and it gives you access to an Artificial Intelligence program that is so smart it’s scary. It’s especially good at responding to prompts like “Write a poem about X in the style of Y.”

This is what it came up with when I asked it to write a poem about an electric toothbrush in the style of a Shakespearean sonnet:

Ah, sweet electric toothbrush, thy bristles strong
Thou art the knight of teeth, a shining star
Thou keepeth plaques at bay, where they belong
And maketh smiles bright and gleaming from afar

With thy gentle hum and soft, swirling strokes
Thou doth cleanse each tooth with gentle care
And doth banish all the pesky food bits and mokes
Leaving breath fresh and mouth free from despair

Thou art a blessing to all who use thee
A guardian of oral health, bright and fair
Thou dost thy job
