Humor is subjective, so it’s no surprise that not everyone appreciates RR’s brilliance. It’s a pity though. Aunt Linda and I get to enjoy one of the great compensations for having to live through the Trump era, while you’re stuck with writing condescending things about the “average American,” which has to be a lot less fun.

And you say that RR is single-handedly enabling Trump supporters to dismiss “all criticism” of Trump? Seriously? You may need to apply more of that deep political thinking you admire so much to your own analysis.

For someone who studies musical theater and “comedy stuff at school,” you seem to be missing some of the joy involved in both.
